What good is airport the security?

If one has had to deal with The United States Airport security better known as TSA I have a serious question for everyone what good is airport the security?
Seriously for the most part is it a waste of time?

Most people will say it is there for our protection and I will grant that a basic security check to stop idiots from doing stupid things is probably worth while.

However these days the absurdities with airport security are beyond comical.

Seriously what good is trying to do an overlooked secondary screening AFTER the plane lands at the person's destination?

Or their actual plan to screen after landing.

Does alleged security with no one apparently using any common sense have any logic to it?

Does it make sense to stop someone from flying because one simply has the same name as a possible 'criminal'?
Can they not include a basic description like age, height, distinguishing features, oh ge, maybe even a picture?

What good is it to take away fingernail clippers, nail files, etc. when one can simply buy another overpriced set from one of the stores inside the 'secure area'? Does it really do any good when one can simply palm a steak knife from a restaurant inside the 'secure area'?

Is there any logic in harassing, bulling, strip searching, innocent, non-violent people that never thought about doing anything to anyone UNTIL they were attacked, humiliated, shamed, and/or detained by TSA for doing nothing illegal. Especially when potential 'bad people' are getting through without being noticed.

Do these agencies not realize that they are creating the environment that is directly causing a lot of people have hostile feelings towards if not becoming openly hostile to officials?
