So far on the run for the presidency, Donald Trump has angered a lot of people. Whether or not you like “The Donald”, he is largely in the limelight from the harsh comments he has made to bringing President Barack Obama’s amnesty agenda to light. The border between Mexico and Texas is largely unprotected which allows dangerous criminals as well as terrorists to cross into America without much trouble.

With all the growing interest in the illegal immigration across the border, the U.S. House of Representatives recently issued a great new resolution known as the “Donald Trump Act” also known as House Resolution 3099. The resolution takes aim at cities that no longer enforce the federal laws but are instead nicknamed “sanctuary cities.” The House passed the bill with an overpowering vote of 241-197.

Kathryn Steinle passed away on July 1st in San Francisco. Authorities in the area charged Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez with her death. He has been in the United States illegally even with a history of felony convictions and five deportations. Critics have been greatly upset saying that these policies encourage illegal immigration even though it hurts citizens of the United States. Representative Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) said “A sanctuary for Kate Steinle? Or a refuge for a convicted felon with a 25-year-long criminal history?”

Democrats have mocked this legislation saying that it is only going through the House because of the popularity brought on by Donald Trump. Republicans are rather serious about creating stricter laws for those who cross the border illegally. Governor Greg Abbott signed a new law into action which is intended to “bolster the ranks of state police, increase technology and establish intelligence operations on the Texas-Mexico border.” Other leaders and lawmakers have made similar actions in order to eliminate or at least lessen the amount of people in the United States illegally.
