The word boys (not a synonym, but the word boys) appears in the 1769 King James Bible
Two times.

(Genesis 25:27 KJV) And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.

and

(Zechariah 8:5 KJV) And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.
