What is Taaghoot?

Terms and word definitions as they relate to Islam.

What is Taaghoot?

Taaghoot is general term refering to everything that is worshipped besides Allaah, while being pleased with this worship – whether it is something worshipped, someone followed, or someone obeyed in the absence of obedience to Allaah and His Messenger, then that is considered Taaghoot.
