What is Najis?

Terms and word definitions as they relate to Islam.

Najis means unclean things according to Islamic Law.
There are three types of Najis,
light Najis (Mukoffafah),
moderate Najis (Mutawassitoh)
and severe Najis (Mu-ngalladoh).

People, food, cloths, actions, etc. can be considered Najis.
